Privacy Policy

Beam is designed to collect the minimum information necessary to operate the service.

What we collect

• Username and password — password stored only as a bcrypt hash.
• Purchase records — key strings, purchase timestamps, expiry dates, Razorpay payment identifiers.
• Login history — timestamps, IP addresses, and success/failure of login attempts, kept for 30 days for security purposes.
• IP address at signup — kept indefinitely for anti-abuse purposes.

What we do not collect

• Email address, phone number, or real name — none of these are required.
• Content of any screen you view. We do not record sessions.
• Third-party analytics (no Google Analytics, no tracking pixels).

Third parties

Payments are processed by Razorpay. Razorpay collects payment information directly from you at checkout. See Razorpay's own privacy policy for details of how they handle payment data.

Cookies

We set two cookies: a session cookie (to keep you logged in) and a CSRF cookie (for security). Neither is used for tracking. No third-party cookies.

Data retention

Payment records (transaction ID, timestamp, amount) are retained locally while your account is active. Login attempt logs are retained for 30 days for anti-abuse purposes.

Delete your account

You can permanently delete your account at any time from your dashboard. Deletion removes your user record, all keys (active and expired), all local payment records, all sessions, and all login attempts logged for your username. This is irreversible.

Note: your payment history in Razorpay's own systems is independent of Beam and follows Razorpay's retention policy. If you want that removed as well, contact Razorpay support directly.

Data security

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. All traffic to the service is encrypted with HTTPS. We do not sell or share user data with third parties for marketing purposes.
